About Tejas Hunting Retriever Club
Tejas HRC is a not for profit organization incorporated in 1985
by a dedicated group of dog trainers and retriever enthusiasts.
Tejas HRC is affiliated with the
American Kennel Club
and the United
Kennel Club and is a member of the
Hunting Retriever
Club and
Master
National Retriever Club.
Tejas is supported
by a devoted and enthusiastic Membership who work together to:
1. Promote and encouraging training and use of retrievers as conservation tools for the sound management of our wildlife resources.
2. Promote and encourage quality in breeding, hunting and trialing of purebred retrievers, bringing out their natural abilities and potential.
3. Encourage good sportsmanship in retriever related hunting activities and hunt test.
4. Conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty hunt test and field trials under the rules of UKC, HRC, and the AKC.
Tejas Club Meetings are held the first
Wednesday of every other month. Check the Club’s Website for
meeting locations as they are subject to change.
In addition
to discussing Club business at the meetings, Tejas HRC routinely
hosts professional retriever trainers, professional guide services,
veterinarians and wildlife experts as featured speakers.
